When We Stand Before God

"When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.'' Erma Bombeck

Bombeck has given us an interesting thought.  It appears to me that most of us don't realize how much God has given us.  Far too many of us consider ourselves one talent people when God has actually given us many talents.  It only takes a brief reading of Ephesians 3 to realize the incredible wisdom and power God has given to us.  His Holy Spirit indwells in us and works in us every single day of our lives.  The mysteries of His glory and strength are revealed to us through His Word.

I sometimes wonder how rapidly the church would grow if we were so rooted and grounded in the love of Christ that every ounce of our ability shared that love with the world.

"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us." Ephesians 3:20

It would be a shame to stand before God and say we didn't use our power.
