It Only Takes a Few Minutes

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27

We have a large number of older members here at Brown Street and all of them are important. While some of them are able to come to services, many are unable to leave  their homes. Our Thursday meals and our card ministry provide excellent services for these very special members of God’s kingdom. However, the weeks sometimes roll by with very little contact with the outside world.

Why not get your family to spend some time with one or two of our older members? It would only take a few minutes to make a visit or two. It would be good training for your children to learn how to care for the elderly and your whole family would learn some remarkable facts about the past generation.

“A new command I give you; love one another. As I  have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34, 35
