Finding the Heart of God in Our Singing

“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:19 )

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and as you sing with gratitude in your hearts to God.” (Colossians 3:16 )

There is no human action that brings us closer to each other and closer to the heart of God than our singing praises to our Lord. When we unite ourselves with one another in song, we can totally focus on our love for God and our devotion to each other. It is a time of encouragement, excitement, learning and devotion.

When we praise God properly, every heart in the congregation becomes one with the heart of God as He hears and enjoys our complete, joyous communication with Him. We are united with one another as we remind each other of  our mutual belief in God and our submission to His will.

Come prepared to unite your heart with God as we sing praises to Him this Sunday.
