Is it true that most of your energy goes to other things and you don't have time for God? If we are going to truly have a close relationship with our heavenly Father we are going to need to invest our energy in that relationship.
If we are going to have the right relationship with God, we are going to have to invest time in communication with Him. Our personal prayer time is extremely important! We must take the time to open our hearts to God in one-on-one conversation. Family prayers and church prayers are
important, but a close relationship demands one-on-one communication. Not only do we communicate with God in prayer, we communicate with Him when we listen to Him by reading and meditating on His Word.
If we are going to have a close relationship with God, we must respect and praise our God. We demonstrate respect by obeying His will. We praise Him by our thoughts, our actions and our words. To respect God means that He goes everywhere we go. We are serving Him at work, at play, at home and at church. He is truly the Master of our life.
"He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord." Psalm 40:3
